With the file downloaded from the LexiKAN website, the program has access to over 100,000 entries for use as a searchable electronic dictionary. Lookup any Japanese word using kanji, reading, or English meaning, and save it as a compound flashcard for use in the quiz modes. Flashcards are arranged in LexiKAN using Word Groups which can be created manually, imported, downloaded for free from the LexiKAN website, or generated automatically by the program using the LexiKAN Flashcard Builder tool. Use this wizard-style dialog to build a complete customized syllabus containing both kanji and related compound vocabulary. The Flashcard Builder will instantly create kanji flashcards based on grade level or using the index numbers in one of ten popular kanji reference books. With the EDICT file installed, it will also create related compound vocabulary words containing the kanji in each Word Group.
