Alternative Job Search System . . . What’s In It for Me?

I recently received a comment message at our alternative job search website. It was from Todd, an assistant manager in a large retail operation. Todd said he had visited our site a couple times and now that he was seriously looking for a job he wanted the skinny on this “alternative job search” approach.

In further communication with him I learned that he was very frustrated with his job search efforts to date. Turns out he was conducting a classic traditional approach. He wrote a resume, posted it on some job sites like Monster and HotJobs. He also told me he had answered a bunch of want ads and visited a couple employment agencies.
